In-Pipe Technology Awarded $1.75M In Contracts For Green Sewer Collection System Treatment
April 7, 2011
In-Pipe Technology Company, Inc. announced recently that they were awarded $1.75M in new contracts for green sewer collection system treatment in the first quarter of 2011 setting a new quarterly growth record for the company. In-Pipe installed seven new projects in the U.S. and is currently finalizing an eighth contract with a major, metropolitan city as a result of a state agency funded study. In-Pipe expects to save their new clients a combined $4M per year in operating costs as a result of In-Pipe's green sewer collection system treatment.
"In-Pipe provides engineered solutions to wastewater treatment plants seeking to increase efficiencies through the use of innovative and sustainable green technologies at minimal cost," said John Williams President & CEO of In-Pipe. "The impacts on plant performance include cost savings and improved effluent quality to the environment with little or no initial capital expense. In-Pipe provides one of the few technologies that is beneficial to the environment, reduces energy, chemical usage, and sludge related costs."
In-Pipe's patented technology includes continuous addition of a highly concentrated formulation of facultative, naturally-occurring, non-pathogenic bacteria to strategic locations throughout the sewer system in accordance with an engineered plan. This entails zero capital cost and no additional energy requirement. By continuously reinforcing the microbiology, performance in the collection system provides increased capacity within the plant, forestalls costly upgrades, and extends the life of the existing infrastructure.
In-Pipe Technology offers specialized technical expertise, strong customer understanding, and deep resource knowledge. Since In-Pipe uses natural, biological methods that complement a treatment plant's own processes, In-Pipe is a sustainable solution - environmentally and economically.
